A menstrual journal tracker for women who experience overwhelming emotions and pain during their menstrual cycles. In today’s world, women manage complex emotions during menstruation and menopause, often facing an overload of scientific information and a lack of holistic solutions. Red Diary offers a tool for women to consolidate their emotions and seamlessly integrate them into daily life.
The drive behind our personal project was a shared passion for enhancing women’s well-being. With so much information out there, yet so little tailored to the everyday realities of busy women, the project’s vision was clear: to provide a practical tool that offers respite and understanding during menstrual pain or menopause. We approach our own project not just a product but a solution—one that doesn’t just cater to the body but also nourishes the soul.
Inspired by ancestral stories of female lineage and Miranda Gray’s book Red Moon, we created a new project to help women heal through self-discovery. The creative process began with brainstorming sessions that focused on key elements such as the moon, the uterus, blood, and a book. While Red Moon offers valuable insights, we wanted to create something more tangible and interactive. We envisioned a personal and fillable tool where women could document their feelings and experiences. This design approach provides a practical means for self-expression and healing.
We create a design that spoke directly to the user’s emotions. As we continue to take on more tasks, the project evolves, showcasing the dynamic nature of our collaboration. More than just a product, this has the potential to be part of many women in their journey of self-understanding. We look forward to more collaborations, enhancing our collective vision, and making a lasting impact in the world of design and well-being.
